At Amaze Behavior Consultants, our top priority is to provide quality, compassionate in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to a diverse population of individuals, including those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our team of experienced and dedicated behavior specialists work closely with families to develop personalized treatments that cater to the unique needs and goals of each individual. We understand that navigating through life with ASD can be challenging for both clients and their families, which is why we aim to provide support and guidance every step of the way. By utilizing evidence-based ABA therapy techniques, we strive to improve our clients' social skills, communication abilities, daily living skills, and overall quality of life. Through our services, it is our mission to make our clients' and families' lives easier by equipping them with the necessary tools and strategies for success.
Often the first type of ABA therapy people think of, this modality offers a team of 2 or 3 staff to support the clients and stakeholders. This program may be authorized for coverage by the insurance carrier under either a two-tier model (consisting of a BCBA and a paraprofessional) or a three-tier model (including a BCBA, program manager, and paraprofessional), depending on the specific carrier. This may entail a blend of intensive services, with the paraprofessional being present either on a daily basis or multiple times per week. Caregiver assistance will also be provided through training sessions, and our team will continue to provide on-going support.
*Caregiver or authorized person of 18 years or older must be present for the duration of sessions.
Caregivers are trained in the principles of ABA to further their understanding and giving them the tools they need to independently implement strategies. ABC has developed a curriculum that is tailored to each family to increase knowledge in the basics of ABA, functions of behavior, reinforcement, play and more!
Caregivers are the direct implementers of ABA and take on a more intensive role in treatment while under the supervision of a BCBA or Program Manager. Caregivers are given resources and skills to continue to increase and maintain their abilities. This model provides flexibility and frequently promotes a strong bond between the caregiver and child.
Clients (ages 6+) will meet with similar skilled peers to engage in social skills once or twice a week. Qualified professionals facilitate the development of essential skills through games, activities and role playing. Some common targets for social skills might be conversational skills, sharing, taking turns, reading facial expressions and playing cooperatively to promote increased confidence and independence with social interactions.
